The worst of the absentminded people are those who do not learn from the changes of dunya.
The worst of those who are in danger in dunya are those who do not consider any danger upon themselves in this dunya.

The best of the learned people are those who add the knowledge of all people to their own.
The best of the courageous people are those who fight their desires.

The best of the precious people are the most knowledgeable.

For the followers of the Ahlul Bayt (as), the first two months of the Islamic year are a time for grief and mourning. It was on the 10th of Muharram, 61 A.H/680 C.E that Imam Husayn (as) the grandson of the Holy Prophet (saw) was martyred in Karbala, “Ashura”, meaning the tenth day. The Holy Imam went through great difficulties even after Ashura, and their grief and pain is remembered by their followers for two months. During these two months Shia”s try to avoid all forms of merry making. They are as one bereaved family, giving vent to their grief and sorrow through mourning rituals such as Majalis and Matam. This does not mean however that they make their lives miserable. What they try to do is not indulge in activities that make them oblivious of the great sacrifice of Imam Husayn (as) and his family for Islam.

The demonstration was held in front of the Israeli embassy in London, where the protesters waved placards, banners and flags bearing slogans such as ‘End the Siege in Gaza’ and ‘Free Palestine’.
Meanwhile British Riot police clashed with demonstrators as many of them attempted to climb the gate towards the Israeli Embassy, and some reportedly left the scene with bloody faces.
Similar protests were held Sunday in many other places in the world.
Outstanding British anti-war politicians, such as former Labor MP Tony Benn or MP George Galloway were seen Sunday in the demonstration.
“We should treat Israel as we treated South Africa during apartheid. They should be shunned,” Galloway said after the protest.
The protest organizers said similar events would continue on Monday.

I was there the day you were born
And I gave you special gifts to last a lifetime.

I touched you, made you smile,
Helped you grow and watched you take your First step.

I even reassured you that every
Thing would be okay when you lost your first tooth.

I saw you off on your first day of school…
And I lingered by your side the whole day.

I was there to console you every
time you cried and I held you every
time you fell and scraped your knees.

I was there every day all through the
years and I always strived to give you direction.
I helped you every step of the way
 into adulthood, bringing you daily
gifts of inspiration, hope and love.

And I gave you trials so that you
could grow into the warm and
beautiful person that you are…but I
 never abandoned you to them.

I’ve never for a single second, turned
My back on you when you needed
Me – even when you thought that
  you didn’t need Me.

I heard you every time you spoke
and I answered every prayer though sometimes… for your best
interest, I didn’t answer them the
  way you hoped I would.

I’m still with you through your joys,
 your hopes, your tears, your
dreams… through the bad day, the
good days – through every day of your life.

And I will be there in the end to
give you comfort and see you safely
home where you will sit beside Me
in all the glory of heaven.
